24K came to Highest Form Arena dressed for the trophy ceremony and played like it for a half. The 24K Nuggets won the first quarter 27-24 and the second 21-20, and led 48-44 at the break.
God's Gift made its entrance after halftime. The God's Gift Thunder won the third quarter 26-16 to take a 70-64 lead, then won the fourth 26-20 to finish a 96-84 victory. The 180 combined points made it the lowest-scoring game of the Presidential Cannabis League's first three nights, and the God's Gift Thunder won it on defense.
God's Gift is 2-0 with two straight wins and first in the Northwest Division, and it takes the season series lead 1-0. 24K opens 0-1, fourth in the Northwest. The 24K Nuggets host Papaya Punch on October 24, and God's Gift hosts Cosmic Cookies on October 25.

Gold against gold
This was the most golden matchup on the schedule. 24K is pure bullion: a golden serpent coiled around a rock of gold under a gold moon, and a name taken from a purity measure. Its jerseys count the karats, 24 for the Blunt, 18 for the Pre-Roll, 14 for the Mini Blunt and 10 for the Mini Pre-Roll. God's Gift answers with a golden temple on the clouds and molten gold dripping like honey, and it wears the two simplest numbers in the game, 1 and 7.
What's inside
24K is the one Gold Strain Series release with no partner mark and no flavor name, just the crest, the strain and a build of flower, live resin and diamonds, marked Indica. It fields all four sizes, and its Mini Blunt is a smaller version of the same object, not a cheaper one. Find it in Washington's guide to the Gold series, on a roster 19 names deep.
God's Gift swaps the resin for live rosin in its Rose Gold build, also marked Indica. Both are layered the same way, and that layering is the whole story of infused blunts versus regular blunts: flower at the base, concentrate carried through it and a diamond finish on the outside, with the wrap unchanged.
