Wedding Cake saved its best layer for the middle of the game.
The Wedding Cake Wizards took the first quarter 28-27 at Blinker Challenge Center, but Cap Junky rolled through the second 35-29 and went to the locker room up 62-57.
Then came the third. Wedding Cake buried the Cap Junky Bulls 40-20 in the quarter and turned a five-point deficit into a 97-82 lead heading to the fourth.
Cap Junky made it a game again, winning the fourth 38-27, but the Wedding Cake Wizards had banked enough. Wedding Cake won 124-120.
The Hall of Famers improve to 2-1, third in the Southeast Division of the Presidential Cannabis League, with a one-game winning streak. Cap Junky slips to 1-2 and fourth in the Central Division. Wedding Cake takes the season series lead, 1-0.
