Wedding Cake saved its best quarter for last. By then, Presidential OG had already done the damage.
The Wedding Cake Wizards opened on the road with a 21-19 first quarter. The Presidential OG Hornets seized the second on their home floor at Presidential Crest Center, outscoring the visitors 35-23 to carry a 54-44 lead into halftime.
Presidential OG kept the gap in double figures through the third, winning it 26-24 for an 80-68 edge. Wedding Cake answered with a 35-30 fourth, its biggest quarter of the night, but the charge fell 7 points short in a 110-103 final.
The win lifts Presidential OG to 3-1 with two straight and keeps it on top of the Southeast Division. Wedding Cake slips to 2-2 and third in the same division, and Presidential OG takes a 1-0 lead in the season series.
Both teams go right back to work Wednesday. Presidential OG visits the Pink Cookie Pistons, and Wedding Cake heads out to face the King Louis Cavaliers.
