Skywalker Spurs Outlast Crescendo Jazz 117-111 in Overtime
Crescendo opened with 32 points at Three Modes Arena, regulation ended 105-105, and Skywalker won the extra period 12-6 for a third straight win.
Crescendo is supposed to get louder as the night goes on. On Wednesday it came out loud and Skywalker had the last word anyway.
The Crescendo Jazz exploded for 32 in the first quarter at Three Modes Arena and led 32-22. The Skywalker Spurs chipped away with a 29-23 second, trailing only 55-51 at the half.
Skywalker took the third 34-30 to tie it at 85-85. The fourth was dead even at 20-20, and regulation ended 105-105.
Overtime belonged to Skywalker. It outscored Crescendo 12-6 in the extra period to escape with a 117-111 win.
Skywalker has now won three straight and sits at 3-2, third in the Southwest Division, and the first meeting of the season goes its way, 1-0. Crescendo falls to 1-4, fifth in the Northwest Division, and has lost three in a row.
Both teams get two days off before hosting on Saturday. Skywalker welcomes the White Walker Wolves, and Crescendo takes on the Blue Dream Blazers.

Same three layers, two different partners
On the build sheet, this Presidential Cannabis League overtime game was a mirror match. Both rosters are Gold, and every pack on both benches runs flower, live resin and diamonds.
The partner is where they split. Skywalker carries ROVE on the front of every pack. Crescendo starts with flower from the estate-grown THC Design collaboration, which Presidential lists as its own collaboration grouping.
The labels disagree too. Skywalker is marked Indica, Crescendo is marked Sativa.
Then there is the wrap. Both Blunts are rolled in hemp, and the guide on why every Presidential blunt is hemp explains the order inside: flower first, concentrate carried through it, and the diamond finish added last, all behind a neutral sheet that lets those layers lead.
What's inside
Skywalker goes four deep, adding a mini three-pack of each rolled format to its full-size Blunt and Pre-Roll. ROVE describes the profile as blueberry, tropical and earthy, a fruit-and-earth mix.
Crescendo keeps two players, a 1.5g Blunt and a 1g Pre-Roll. Its profile follows its name, starting with earthy diesel and building into berry and citrus for anyone who wants fruit with a gassy finish.
