The Strawberry Sixers did the hard part in the first quarter. The Nino Brown Knicks spent the rest of the night trying to undo it.
Strawberry jumped out 29-21 at Silver Flavor Center and nudged the lead to 53-44 by halftime with a 24-23 second quarter.
Nino Brown never broke, but it never caught up either. The third ended 24-24, leaving Strawberry ahead 77-68, and Nino Brown's 25-21 fourth trimmed the deficit without erasing it. Strawberry won 98-93.
The East Group B win starts Strawberry's Presidential Cup run at 5-1, with two straight victories and first place in the Atlantic Division. It also makes Strawberry 2-0 against Nino Brown this season, the same division rival it beat on opening night.
Nino Brown drops to 2-4 and fourth in the Atlantic Division after the loss.
There is no rest for Strawberry, which plays again Saturday at the Presidential OG Hornets. Nino Brown hosts the NYC Diesel Nets on Monday.

Two jars, one number
Plenty separates these two rosters, but their Moon Rocks jars wear the same jersey. Each one wears 2, and each one holds 2g.
The jars look nothing alike. Nino Brown's is ringed by a gold chain under a smoky moon, with taxi-check trim along the bottom. Strawberry's rides the crest of a red-and-teal wave with strawberries spilling out and palms on the horizon.
The rest of the numbers split off. Nino Brown's Blunt wears 91, an old-school number for an old-school boss. Strawberry's Blunt wears 14 for the sweetest day in February, and its Pre-Roll wears 4.
That jar is where the Presidential Cannabis League story starts. A guide to how a Moon Rock gets its layers traces the format to Presidential's founding in Los Angeles in 2012, building each piece from a flower center outward to a kief exterior.
What's inside
Both teams play in classic packaging, and both are built on flower, distillate and kief, every pack marked Indica. The difference is the flower and the flavor.
Nino Brown is a Presidential Line collaboration with Ball Family Farms, pairing the 2g jar with a 1.5g Moon Rock Blunt rolled in tobacco-free hemp. Its jar carries a dark, earthy aroma and a sweetness that shows up late.
Strawberry is the Silver Flavor Series entry, three packs deep. Beside the 2g jar, the Pre-Roll comes in at 1g and the Blunt at 1.5g. Its strawberry reads ripe rather than red, sweet without the syrup.
That kief finish comes from the resin glands that become kief, the frosted heads on the flower that hold most of the plant's cannabinoids and terpenes.
