The Blue Dream Blazers grabbed the lead in the first quarter at Three Modes Arena and spent the next two quarters stretching it. Final: Blue Dream 112-90 over the Crescendo Jazz.
Blue Dream took the opening quarter 27-18 and the second 32-24 to go to halftime up 59-42. A 29-22 third quarter pushed the cushion to 24 points at 88-64.
Crescendo found another gear late and won the fourth 26-24, but the deficit was far too deep to erase.
The win lifts Blue Dream to 4-1 and keeps it in first place in the Northwest Division, back in the win column after its only loss. Crescendo slides to 1-5, fifth in the division, and has now dropped four in a row. Blue Dream owns the first meeting of the season between the division rivals, 1-0.
Monday sends both teams on the road. Blue Dream visits the 24K Nuggets, and Crescendo travels to face the Skywalker Spurs.

One number doubled, one number flipped
Read the backs of these two rosters and this Presidential Cannabis League matchup turns into a numbers game. On both teams, the Pre-Roll gets its jersey from the Blunt standing next to it.
Blue Dream simply doubles up. The 1.5g Blunt wears 8, and the 1g Pre-Roll wears 88.
Crescendo spins its digits around instead. The 1.5g Blunt carries 16, a nod to the sixteenth note, and the Pre-Roll reverses that into 61.
The music theme is the whole Crescendo identity, a team built to start quiet and get louder every quarter. Saturday followed the script in one way: the fourth was the only quarter Crescendo won.
What's inside
Both rosters are Gold Strain Series squads in the New Pack Line, each made from flower, live resin and diamonds and each marked Sativa. The Washington guide to the Gold lineup lists them side by side on a roster that mixes longtime Presidential names with newer releases.
The flavor lines split from there. Blue Dream pairs a familiar blueberry character with earthy pine. Crescendo starts with THC Design flower, and its reported profile travels from earthy diesel toward berry and citrus.
The sizes match. Each Blunt holds 1.5g in a tobacco-free wrap, and each Pre-Roll is 1g in rolling paper, the format laid out in how an infused pre-roll is put together: a ready-made paper roll that joins cannabis flower with concentrate.
