The Head Cheese streak is over. The Galactic Gas Rockets won the last three quarters at Mission Control Center on Monday and beat the Head Cheese Celtics 109-93.
Head Cheese came in with five straight wins and matched the hosts point for point early, with the first quarter ending 29-29.
Galactic Gas took over from there. A 28-21 second quarter made it 57-50 at the half, and a 25-23 third pushed the lead to 82-73. The fourth went 27-20, and Galactic Gas finished with a 52-43 edge after the break.
Galactic Gas improves to 7-1, first in the Southwest Division, with two wins in a row. Head Cheese slips to 5-2 but stays second in the Atlantic Division. It was the first meeting between the two, and Galactic Gas holds the 1-0 series lead.
