SFV OG had the answer every time Cherry Gelato pushed. The SFV OG Lakers won the third quarter 32-21 at Built for the Oil Arena on Monday and pulled away from the Cherry Gelato Heat 138-117.
The first half was a track meet. SFV OG took the opener 37-30, and the second quarter ended 42-42, sending the hosts to the break up 79-72.
The third settled it. SFV OG won it 32-21 to stretch the lead to 111-93, and a 27-24 fourth kept Cherry Gelato at arm's length. The home side won the second half 59-45.
SFV OG moves to 6-2 and stays first in the Pacific Division with two straight wins. Cherry Gelato drops to 2-5, fourth in the Southeast Division. It was the opening meeting of the season, and SFV OG owns a 1-0 series edge.
The road calls for both on Wednesday, November 4. SFV OG visits the Gorilla Goo Kings, and Cherry Gelato heads to the Cosmic Cookie Clippers.
